DUEL RULES
A good duel starts with terms everyone understands the same way.
Start with a statement
Write a verifiable question with a yes-or-no answer. Set the result source, event time, and rules for ambiguity. Terms cannot be changed after publication.
Your YES / NO within an event
Each event has a shared order book. Choose YES or NO, an amount, and odds from 1.01 to 50.00. The full amount is reserved. Opposing orders are automatically matched at the best eligible price; at the same price, earlier orders fill first. You cannot trade with your own order.
Entry deadline and event deadline
Entry closes before the event deadline. You can cancel the unfilled part of any of your orders from your portfolio or the order book; the filled part stays until the outcome. After entry closes, all unmatched amounts are refunded. The event itself can only be cancelled while it has no participants or orders.
Confirming the result
All orders within an event share one outcome. After the event deadline, a participant proposes a result with evidence. Payout requires agreement from all participants, including order-book traders. An independent arbiter’s decision can be challenged within 24 hours. Each winning position receives both opposing stakes; if the event is voided, each participant receives their contribution back.
Disputes
Any participant can challenge a proposed result with a reason. A different independent arbiter decides the dispute. If the outcome is not established within 7 days after the event, stakes are refunded. If the source is unavailable, participants can agree to a refund.
Amounts in USDC
The settlement currency is USDC on Base. Your Privy wallet lets you receive and send USDC; wagering with real funds is not available yet. Events marked “Example” and their amounts illustrate how the product works and are not users’ funds.
Odds and precision
Odds include your stake: 1,000 USDC × 2.50 pays 2,500 USDC if you win. The other side contributes 1,500 USDC, with odds of approximately 1.667. Examples use whole USDC units without rounding payouts. Each price therefore has an amount increment: at ×1.33, for example, it is 100 USDC. Any indivisible remainder is refunded immediately. Each order-book row shows your odds and the amount available to you.
Public history
Only publish terms and comments you are willing to show other visitors. Creation, participation, and settlement history remain available. The test platform fee is 0%.
